35mpg at 1000mile mark efficient?

Out of curiosity I did a little bit of research and surveys lol, my Maverick XL just hit 1000miles and I do about 40mpg on a mix of city and highway driving almost equally. Now, in a span of 1 week of reading through forums and other platforms, most of them only do around 30-35mpg. Now thats a big red flag to me. What can you assume im doing wrong?
 
40mpg is a good number, man. if you want to have a long term fuel economy, you should avoid short trips bcs your truck never fully warms up
 
That's quite a gapfor me. it could be your gentle driving, using Eco mode, AC/heat use or tire pressure. just leep an eye on it!

Keep your tires inflated and drive smoothly to maintain your efficiency. Winter fuel blends and cold weather can lower other people's numbers, but you're doing great at 40 MPG
 
40 mpg actually is a good number. Driving habits, terrain, speed, tire pressure, and even weather can make a huge difference. Many peeps reporting lower mpg may be driving more aggressively, carrying heavier loads, or justt spending more time idling. So no red flag so far I guess just keep doing what you're doing. Be safe.
 
Absolutely! 40 MPG is impressive. I'm curious, do you do more city driving, highway cruising, or a mix of both?
 
Hitting 40 MPG is great and above average imo, so no red flag there. Most folks average 30-35 mpg coz of factors like heavier foot, lots of city driving, or different terrain. To keep your mileage high, focus on smooth acceleration (throttle balance), steady speeds, proper tire pressure, and regular maintenance.
