Battery tender recommendation and tips for Maverick Hybrid

Our 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT will have to sit for almost a month as my family is going on a holiday abroad. I'm hoping to get some real-world advice and recommendations from fellow Maverick Hybrid owners here.

Which specific brands / models for battery tenders have you had good experiences with? I'm looking for something reliable and no tendencies of overcharging.

What's the correct connection point for a battery tender? Do I just connect it directly to the jump points under the hood?

Any quirks or other things I should be aware of when using a battery tender on a Maverick Hybrid?

I want to make sure I'm doing this right to avoid any future headaches. Thanks in advance!

@m_e_l_t_o_n yep, you've got it right! The underhood jump points are the go to spot. Connect the positive (+) lead to the red capped terminal and the negative (-) lead to the dedicated negative post or a good chassis ground point. Don't worry about the high voltage hybrid battery cause you're just maintaining the regular 12V.
about the battery tender, I can tell you that CTEK (like the MXS 5.0 or MXS 3.8) and Battery Tender Plus are solid choices. They're reliable and have excellent multi stage charging to prevent overcharging

Hybrids have more sensitive electronics, so the tender has to be fully automatic and designed for AGM or lithium batteries if that's what your Maverick uses, hook it up right and keep it in a well ventilated area if possible, should keep it healthy

Use a quality smart charger like NOCO or CTEK, they're reliable and won't overcharge, hook it up to the designated jump start terminals under the hood since the battery itself isn't easy to reach

Does the BMS still track charging properly if I use the jump start terminals instead of connecting directly to the battery? Also, do you leave the tender plugged in full-time or just overnight?
