I'm planning to switch to LiFePO4 battery

Is this recommended for a hybrid? The lead-acid has very few cycles compared to the lithium iron phosphate and its more within budget for me. Plus I believe LiFePO3 is lighter and safer? Because it can go down to 10V with no problems + no fumes!!! Has anyone tried this yet?
 
Yeah I think the LifePO4 has its advantages, at this point I'd probably stick to the battery your vehicle is designed for to avoid potential damage

LiFePO₄ batteries are an excellent option for hybrids. They're lighter, have a longer lifespan, and are safer than lead-acid batteries. These batteries can handle deeper discharges without any problems and don't emit harmful fumes. Just be sure that your hybrid's charging system works well with them. You'll also need a reliable Battery Management System (BMS) to keep the battery safe. It's definitely something to think about, but I'd suggest checking the setup thoroughly before making the switch.

biggest hurdle with LiFePO4 in a hybrid is often the charging system compatibility. Hybrids have very specific voltage and current profiles designed for lead acid batteries.
LiFePO4 needs a different charging algorithm, and forcing it can damage the battery or even the vehicle's electronics. You'd need a very specific DC-DC charger/BMS setup
