Recently celebrated my 143 miles with my wife but after our road trip, the check engine light came on already! What do I need to check exactly? I've been calling my Ford dealer but they haven't replied. I just wanted to bring it in since it's still on warranty.

Is the light is flashing? if so, get it checked ASAP. avoid DIY fixes that might void the warranty. Stay persistent and let Ford handle it!

Do you have an OBD scanner? you could plug it in and see what the code is. that would give you a clue.But really, since it's under warranty and the dealer isn't answering, keep trying to contact them. document it when you called. You shouldn't have to troubleshoot a brand new car yourself.

gosh, that's the worst timing, I'll be super annoyed.
but it's still under warranty, right? absolutely should push to get it into the dealer
In the meantime, sometimes a loose gas cap can trigger that light, so maybe check that first? Fingers crossed for an easy fix!

That's a bummer after such a nice trip!
I'd also do what @Perrin Aybara and @BiscuitsGravy said.
I'd check if the gas cap is tight, and I'd take a quick look under the hood for any obvious loose hoses or wires.
But beyond that, you'd really need a code reader to pinpoint the issue.
And yes, don't stop pushing to get that warranty work scheduled!

Yep, it's always a good idea to check the gas cap and any visible connections before you start diving into those codes.
