I'm cruising through the drive-thru in my 2022 Maverick when the engine or transmission starts clanking and rattling like it's auditioning for a rock concert. For a moment, I thought it might fall apart right there in front of the window. I shifted into neutral, and the noise stopped. It was fine again once I put it back in gear, almost like my truck was craving a little extra attention.
The Maverick's only got about 5,500 miles on it, so it's practically brand new. My previous car, a 2018 Toyota Prius, gave me nearly 90,000 miles of smooth, drama-free driving, so this Maverick's performance has me scratching my head. Has anyone else had their Maverick try to pull a stunt like this? Are there any recalls I should look into? Hoping it's nothing major.
