Transmission or engine noise at 5500 miles any known issues or recalls?

I'm cruising through the drive-thru in my 2022 Maverick when the engine or transmission starts clanking and rattling like it's auditioning for a rock concert. For a moment, I thought it might fall apart right there in front of the window. I shifted into neutral, and the noise stopped. It was fine again once I put it back in gear, almost like my truck was craving a little extra attention.

The Maverick's only got about 5,500 miles on it, so it's practically brand new. My previous car, a 2018 Toyota Prius, gave me nearly 90,000 miles of smooth, drama-free driving, so this Maverick's performance has me scratching my head. Has anyone else had their Maverick try to pull a stunt like this? Are there any recalls I should look into? Hoping it's nothing major.

I have the same issue and went to the dealership to check it out a few days ago, and they say "everything looks good" lol. I'm about to get a second opinion from a recommended mechanic here

Some are saying there's a known recall involving engine manufacturing issues that could cause unusual noises, so it's worth checking with the dealer and running a VIN lookup to see if our trucks are affected.

It's frustrating when the dealership shrugs it off like that. A second opinion is definitely a smart move, @FreeDbirds . Let me know what your mechanic finds! Fingers crossed it's an easy fix for both of us.

yup, I'm with @FreeDbirds men, you need to bring it to other dealer or shop, update us later!

Took it back to the dealer and they were able to address the issue successfully. Appreciate the support!
