why are jumpers and trickle chargers always brought up with hybrids?

I've noticed something interesting, whenever hybrids come up, people often start talking about battery jumpers and trickle chargers. Is it because of the 12V system risks or is there more to it? I'm really wondering why this comes up more with hybrids than with regular cars. Any thoughts?
 
Because if the battery dies the hybrid is also temporarily "dead", meaning you can't shift out of park or start the engine. That's why people more often talk about jump starters and trickle charges, because the 12v batteries in hybrid are smaller since they don't need to crank an engine and that means they can drain faster if the car is not driven for a longer period of time.

not only that, but the hybrid is more prone to a parasitic dran. I'm not saying it hapens often, but more electronic means there's more chances to end up with a dead battery.

Sure, it sounds like hater talking, but there is some truth behind this, especially a hybrid is left sitting for too long.

That's a good question and honestly, it's a little concerning, if hybrids rely that heavily on the 12V system to boot up everything, a weak battery could leave you totally stuck

and to add to that, some hybrids also keep systems like security or telematics active even when parked, which slowly drains the 12V and that's why a trickle charger or regular use really helps
