I've been in a few evs lately and I noticed that some of them play fake engine noise. My maverick isn't quiet, at least not quieter than an ev, but I want to get some more noise in the cabin. My question is if I can do something or modify to the some engine noise through the speakers

Ha! Going full circle, huh? EVs trying to sound like gas, and you wanting your non-EV to sound more gas! What kind of engine note are you dreaming of?

You can add synthetic engine noise with aftermarket systems that pipe sound through your speakers but it has to be compatible with your Maverick's audio system.

There are dedicated engine sound simulators like the ones from Wrumer!
You can connect it to your car's OBD-II port to synchronize the sound with the engine's RPMs!

I don't understand, why do you want more noise? if there's nothing wrong with the engine, why messing with it and do something unnecessary

you know, this is not something uncommon. There are aftermarket active sound generators designed for vehicles that don't have a natural engine sound.
so, these modules usually connect to your car's CAN bus (or get signals from RPM, throttle position) to generate realistic or even custom engine sounds (V8, sportscar, etc.) that play through your car's existing speakers or dedicated external speakers
